Our students and alumni talk about their experience in the program and how it has affected their lives.
“The program at 91快播 is amazing. It is well-rounded. It provides theory through the content courses and experience through the practicum." - Beth Cass, current student EdS, expected G'26
"As I look back on my work and reflections from January through April 2025, I recognize significant growth in both my understanding of educational equity and my role in supporting all learners. Each assignment and discussion pushed me to think critically about the systems in place in my school and how I can contribute meaningfully to fostering inclusivity, engagement, and student success. Overall, this semester has deepened my awareness of how education, identity, and equity intersect. I leave this semester with a stronger sense of purpose and a clearer vision for the kind of inclusive, responsive, and student-centered environment I hope to continue building." - Amanda Krasowsky, current student EdS G'26
"I truly feel like this program sequence set me up to succeed. There was so much I didn’t know. This program opened my eyes to the realities of working in special education administration. I have learned so much about budgets, teacher evaluation, and the professional culture of my program. Overall, I am extremely pleased I selected this program. I would not trade it for 500 hours of self-directed learning. I have gained practical experience while being led by those with years of experience, I strive to one day have. I am very appreciative of my opportunity to participate in this program, and while I am happy to see my time as a student finally end, I am sad to see it go." - Kaitland Hager, EdS G'25
"Completing the EdS program in Special Education Administration at 91快播 University equipped me with practical skills and valuable insights into effective leadership strategies. I gained a deeper understanding of the unique challenges within special education and developed the ability to lead with empathy, inclusivity, and innovative thinking. The hands-on experience and mentorship opportunities solidified my confidence in my leadership abilities, empowering me to make a meaningful impact in an urban school district." - Matt Scanlon, EdS, G'12 G'22
"I can honestly say that so far my experience in this program has been the best. I have been challenged, my thoughts have been provoked, and between Judy, Deb, and my cohort, I have been well supported. My experience has been so rewarding, in fact, that I have been thinking about what educational steps I want to make after I complete this program. The Law and Policy class sparked an interest in that subject matter, so I'm considering furthering my knowledge in educational law; pursuing my Doctorate is also a possibility, although I don't know for what just yet.
Things certainly took a turn this past spring with COVID, but I actually found that working remotely helped me do my job more efficiently, which then helped me fulfill my practicum requirements better.
One big takeaway for me, especially now, is that we are in this together. It's about making connections. The connections I have made in this program have absolutely enriched my life. I'm looking forward to this next year of learning together and seeing where the growth leads me." - Gillian Voight G'21
