Business Data Analytics Certification + MBA
Turn Data into Actionable Insight. Master the Tools of the Modern Analyst.
The Business Data Analytics Certification equips professionals with the critical skills to transform raw data into strategic decision-making power. Whether you're launching a career in analytics or leveling up your technical fluency, this graduate-level certification offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools and techniques used in today’s data-driven organizations.
This certification includes three dynamic courses:
- Foundations of Data Science (ADS 521): Explore the evolution and impact of data science as both a scientific discipline and practical tool. Students will build foundational knowledge in data science principles, math, and basic programming, while gaining exposure to topics across machine learning, statistical modeling, and data applications in real-world contexts.
– OR –
- Data Analytics (ADS 524): Gain the foundations of statistical analysis with an emphasis on real-world data application. Students will explore topics such as exploratory data analysis, probability distributions, sampling methods, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, statistical inference, and ANOVA. Practical skills are developed through hands-on assignments and projects using tools like Excel and R.
- Machine Learning I (ADS 525): Dive into core machine learning techniques including decision trees, random forests, k-means clustering, Naïve Bayes, and dimensionality reduction methods like PCA. This hands-on course emphasizes real-world application using statistical tools and programming languages, preparing students to solve complex business problems with machine learning.
- Statistical Modeling (ADS 534): Focuses on practical regression techniques—linear, multiple linear, and logistic—paired with training in model development, interpretation, and diagnostics using statistical software such as SAS.
– OR –
- Generative AI: Foundations and Applications (ADS 653): Offers an in-depth look into Generative AI, including Large Language Models, GANs, and transformers. Students will develop and fine-tune generative systems, apply them to text and image data, and complete a capstone project, all while addressing the ethical implications of emerging AI technologies.
This certification can be completed on its own or count as three of the ten courses required toward your MBA.
